Connect your controller to the app
Pair your Magnificent Lighting controller over Bluetooth, then put it on home Wi-Fi so you can control the lights remotely. Stand close to the control box.
Check these first
This prevents most setup issues.
- Phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi.
- You know your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password.
- You are standing close to the control box / controller.
- Bluetooth is on. Setup starts by connecting via Bluetooth first.
- Tap Allow / OK if your phone asks for Bluetooth permissions.
Start the setup
Stand close to the light box / control box, then tap the + icon in the top-right corner to begin adding your device.
Activate device scanning
On the Connect Device screen, tap the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth icon (top-right) to start searching for your device.
Select the device and connect
When your device appears in the list, tap the device name, then tap Connect at the bottom of the screen.
Confirm Bluetooth connection
A Bluetooth connection prompt will appear. Tap Confirm to pair the device to your phone.
Open device settings
Once you are on the device home screen, tap the Gear (Settings) icon to open the device settings menu.
Enter Network Mode
In Settings, tap Network Mode (sometimes shown as Distribution network mode) to begin Wi-Fi setup.

When prompted, tap Confirm to place the device into network configuration mode.
Go back (first time)
Tap the Back arrow to return to the previous screen.
Go back (second time)
Tap the Back arrow again to fully return to the device home screen.
Switch from Bluetooth to Wi-Fi mode
Return to the Connect Device screen and tap the Bluetooth / Wi-Fi icons to switch the app from Bluetooth mode to Wi-Fi mode.
Confirm Wi-Fi mode (WF) and select device
You will see the Wi-Fi icon shift left and a WF indicator appear. Tap your device to continue Wi-Fi connection setup.
Select your Wi-Fi network
Make sure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network you want the device to use. Select the network, enter the Wi-Fi password, then tap Next.
Confirm device password
The device password will default to 000000. Tap Confirm to finish connecting.
Connected (Online)
Your device is now connected via Wi-Fi and should show as Online, meaning you can control the lights remotely.
Setup is done. Next step: operate the app.
If something fails
Device does not show up. Keep Bluetooth on and stand closer to the control box. Tap the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth scan icon again.
You do not see WF. Tap the Bluetooth / Wi-Fi icons again to switch modes. Make sure you tapped Network Mode first.
Wi-Fi connection fails. Confirm your phone is on the same Wi-Fi you are giving the controller. Re-enter the password carefully. If the router has 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, try 2.4 GHz.
